Walter recently fired some 250 rounds of his patented +P+ warranty, voiding handloads through his 12.85 minifix and 12.5 Noveske, both in 300 Blackout over the course of a 10-day trip. Prior to this trip, Walter had only chrono'ed and shot for groups with these loads. The performance was theoretical and unvetted. Here are some basic musings and results:
The accuracy of Walter's +P+ loads exceeded his ability to make wind calls, meaning that his misses had more to do with underestimating or estimating wind than the 1.5 MOA of his mini fix platform and the 120s. Walter was able to repeatedly make hits on a zone steel at 400 yards, a reduced C zone at 575 yards, and connect on C zone steel out to 950 yards with repeatability that far exceeded his expectations.
The +p+ 120's were noticeably louder impacting steel at 725 yards compared to a mk12 with 77 grain otm's, and with a similar BC but 55% more weight, hits in the wind felt more consistent despite the reduced velocity.
Walter's hot loads performed well out of Walter's 7.94 inc. and 12.5 Novekse's, with an A5 system. Both barrel lengths ran subs and the +P+ supers fine. Mike Jones blasted a Mag through his Sig CAG gun and was able to connect at 725 yards with a red dot.

All of this super-sonic performance was just a mag-change away from subs. With the same zero and merely a known correction for windage, Walter was able to connect with a twice with a marmot, a prairie dog, at 420 yards with a 18.5 mil elevation hold. The utility of being able to seamlessly change a mag and have a completely different capability cannot be overstated and really needs to be experienced to properly understand.
Upon returning back to Sobchak Security LLC HQ, Walter loaded up some Hornady 110 CX projectiles in shell shock cases and pushed them to an average velocity of 2502 with a SD of 16. Walter plugged these numbers into his Kestrel and was shocked by the results; at 400 yards, the difference in drop between the 110 CX and a 103 ELDX out of Walter's 12.5 Noveske 6 Arc going 2374 is.3 inches. A mere C U Next Tuesday hair difference in drop at 400 yards?! What would Walter choose? Well, that's a topic for another day...
Found some 110CX!! 😎
Walt, here on the other side of the Big Pond people (mostly hunters) are extremely sceptical about solid copper projectiles.
Rumor has it they smear the barrel which needs chemical cleaning every 40-60 rounds in order to maintain accuracy.
What‘s your experience with that since you don‘t mention cleaning at all?
