Discreet Ballistics Range Cards
Walter links up with Discreet Ballistics to create Range Cards for the subsonic bowler.
Advances in suppressor technology and availability along with the advent of the 300 Blackout and 8.6 Blackout has ushered in an unparalleled time of subsonic bowling. However without the right projectile, subsonic bowling is little more than a range trick, a tool to shock your liberal family member with something that is truly Hollywood quiet. Most bowler’s are more concerned with cost than performance, especially when it comes to non standard rounds like 300 Blackout or 8.6, and they often bowl with repurposed existing jacketed projectiles. These rounds shoot well and are reasonably priced but for anything more than punching holes can not really deliver. What if a bowler wants to throw a nasty ball that has great terminal performance while staying below the 1050 FPS threshold? Fellow bowlers, Discreet Ballistics have their own solution to this problem in the form a solid copper, machined projectile in both 300 blackout and 8.6 Blackout varieties and now, Walter has a ranging and baseline ballistic solution to go along with both of these offerings.
The Subsonic Hunting card has ranges from 75 yards to 300 in 25 yard increments for 19 common North American animals and rural objects as well as ballistic information in both Mils/MOA and inches. Although conventional wisdom is that subsonic shooting beyond 100 yards isn’t ethical or realistic, Walter urges bowlers to look at ballistic chart and look at retained velocity. The Discrete Ballistic projectiles are designed to expand at speeds down to 700 FPS, making these rounds lethal out past 400 yards. The Subsonic Hunting card is available in both Mils and MOA and are shipping now on the website.
Interested in some of these beautiful machined projectiles? Discreet Ballistics will be throwing in a Ranging Card for orders over $250 and has co-branded Homework stickers going out with all orders. Tell them Walter sent you and that you’re a bowler.

Walter pulled these out of a log after zero’ing at 50 yards and is heading out this weekend to put them to test in the hills above Malibu. Having capabilities like this turns the 300 Blackout into a serious tool for bowling and hunting. If you Will it, IT IS NO DREAM!
