Would a longer barrel benefit this load in any way? I’ve had a 16” noveske collecting dust in my safe without a purpose for probably 14 years now but this gets me excited about 300 BLK again
I started reloading 300 blk about 4 months ago to try to get some consistent subs. Seeing your content on the black arc supers, I had to get some and they’re awesome. Also got a bunch of shellshock cases and have been getting standard deviations as low as 8.1 with 8.4gr of lil gun behind a midway factory second 190g hpbt. Can’t wait to start on some supers and perfect my subs: )
Saw something from the Applied Ballistics guys about reaming or deburring flash holes improving sd also. Makes sense on the shellshock cases too because of how they’re made. 🤘🤘
Are you guys able to reload the shell shock cases once fired? im finding mixed things on the internet about reloading shellshock cases. if you are any help is appreciated trying to start loading +P 300 blk
i understand traditional sizing dies dont work but has anyone figured out another way? more so is my question, trying to figure out if you can get multiple firings out of the cases
So, I had not tried until just now and I think it can work, however. The few that I tried to deprime pulled the base off. I only went far enough to get the primer out. After reading more from shellshock, they have specific dies for 9mm that use an internal spring to push the case off vs pulling on the rim. So if you can punch the old primer out without attempting to resize them you u may be good to go. The 9mm reloading info says that resizing is not needed. I have only loaded new cases… shellshock states not to attempt to reload the rifle cases.

Was this all done with the mini fix, or out of an AR-15? What twist rate was used?
testing has mostly been done with a minifix with a 12.85 proof barrel with a 1/7 twist and a noveske 12.5 with a 1/7 twist as well.

Very much appreciate all the info.
thats fantastic performance withe the subs. the metal they use gives you more constant neck tension so it makes sense you'll see Lower sd's

Update: if you use a simple lee depriming punch you can easily deprime them to reload. I have not reloaded any yet, but I will eventually.
